A very classy, elegant Shiraz from Mittelburgenland. The fruit is from 30 year old vines grown in the Satz vineyard and it is a tribute to the Pfneisl's grandmother, Maria. The cool loamy clay soils create something very special in the hands of the Pfneisls.
Medium ruby in the glass. Lovely black fruit - blackberry and blackcurrant underpinned by violets and black cherry. Soft, elegant tannins deliver delicious black fruit and milk chocolate flavours with poise and charm. Medium finish. While young, this wine is already showing very well. Drink through 2028.
