Peter Schandl 1774 Beerenauslese Cuvée 2014

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

11% abv. Prädikatswein. Rust, Burgenland

This is an absolute gem from a horribly difficult vintage. Evocative, sensual aromas of dried apricots, ripe dried plums, and rye bread swirl hypnotically around a deep core of wild honey. The dried, heady fruit is countered by a playful, sparkling texture that dazzles the palate. Honey soaked plums and apricots mingle with flavours of dark yeast and spice. The finish is long and gorgeous. Made from Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Matured for 3 years in partially filled oak and acacia barrels.  130g/L RS.
