MAD Grüner Veltliner Leithaberg DAC 2018

13% abv. Oggau, Burgenland

Grown in the mica schist soil of Ried Goldberg near Schützen am Gebirge where the north-south orientation maximizes exposure to the sun throughout the day, this is Leithaberg Grüner Veltliner with some serious verve. Fresh cut green apple mixes with bright lemon and lime peel aromas which buzz on the palate with zesty salinity. Less than medium bodied but has extra depth and texture from the mineral-like salinity. Bright, bold, and streamlined and excellent value for money.
