Giefing Chardonnay vom Muschelkalk 2018

13.5% abv Rust, Burgenland

Handpicked from two vineyards - Geier Umriss and Gemärk in Rust, this is a modest yet attractive Chardonnay with ripe chilled pineapple, cantaloupe and honey dew melon aromas. Medium bodied with more tropical fruit and melon on the palate. Ends with clean and cool notes of melon and canteloupe. Short time on the fine lees - approximately  6 months - results in a lighter wine without an opulent creamy texture or exotic spiciness.
