Gesellmann Blaufränkish Creitzer Reserve 2017

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

14.0% abv Deutschkreutz, Mittelburgenland

Ripe black and red fruit waft from the glass with black pepper and earthy spices falling in behind the fruit. Very expressive with plenty of depth and complexity. Lifted by dark, clean notes of black cherry. After some aeration in the glass, tobacco and a moist leafiness emerge. Very alluring and bewitching. A juicy and fresh well structured body wash cleanly across the palate. Harmonious and very well balanced.  Medium bodied. The acidity levels and ripe tannins suggest that this has many years of immaculate development in the bottle yet to come. A very fine Blaufränkisch indeed. Drink through 2030.
