Deep ruby-purple in colour, showing ripe black fruit and toasty oak on the nose. Very bright and elegant. Sensual notes of dark nougat and wet tobacco.
Plush fruit pulses with wonderful energy on the palate. Blackcurrant and black cherry built on a powerful structure of minerality dipped in salinity. The medium finish is pure joy. One of the best Cab Francs in Burgenland? Quite possibly.
Matured in barriques for 30 months. Needs another 3-4 years in the bottle still and will keep for another ten to fifteen years.
